What the Manual Covers

The Declaration Processing – Customs User Manual is a guide designed to help customs staff, importers, brokers, and agents understand how to use the system to process customs declarations. Key areas it covers include:

  1. System Access & Login — Access to ASYCUDA World is granted through an application process, where users are issued a login name and initial password by the Customs Administration based on their profile. Gov
  2. The SAD (Single Administrative Document) — Declarations are the base document of customs, used to control the movement of goods into and out of the country, and serve as the main data repository for the calculation and collection of taxes and duties, as well as the primary source of national trade statistics. Customs
  3. Declaration Structure — The SAD main form consists of two segments: the general segment, covering overall consignment information such as exporter, consignee, and declaration type; and the item segment, containing details needed to clear each item, such as commodity code, value, and country of origin. 4. Roles of Users — In ASYCUDA World, the input and assessment of declarations is done by the importer or their representatives, while Customs Officers handle the control portion of the process. Asycuda
  5. Selectivity Lanes — After payment, a declaration is assigned to a selectivity lane: the Red Lane requires both documentary and physical examination, the Yellow Lane requires only a documentary check, and the Blue Lane allows automatic release pending post-clearance checks. Customs
